Persons who are seeking to get recruited into the country’s security services have been warned by the Interior Ministry to be wary of scammers who demand money to help them into the various services.

The ministry reiterated in its statement on Friday, September 10, 2021, that recruitment is solely based on merit.

About 11,000 Ghanaians will be recruited into four security services; the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Prisons Service and the Ghana National Fire Service according to a statement signed by the ministry’s Chief Director.

The reason behind these numbers is to help resolve the unemployment situation that has engulfed the country for the country’s youth to be gainfully employed and also beef up the security services.

Some applicants are said to be trooping into the Ministry to submit their completed application forms. The ministry, therefore, indicates that the process is largely online and instructions ought to be followed.

Applicants have also been urged to wait for updates on the next step to take.
