A 30-year-old man has been arrested for defiling a 14-year-old girl
A 30-year-old man at Okorase in the Eastern Region has been arrested for abducting a 14-year-old girl and defiling her.
The suspect who is known as Keteku Enock Yaw is said to have abducted the girl for five days and sexually abused her. In an interview, the victim confessed to the man having sexual intercourse with her four times a day and locked her in the room.
“He had sexual intercourse with me four times daily. He locks me in the room whenever he is leaving to work. He bought food for me once a day. Bled during the first day. Now I feel pain. He bought some dresses for me that when I give birth then I wear them.”
The victim’s mother who happens to be a prophetess wants the suspect to be punished. On Tuesday, September 8, 2021, the suspect was brought before the Kofiridua Circuit Cout ‘B’
According to Chief Inspector Richmond Keelson, the victim’s mother travelled to Nkawkaw on August 27, 2021, for funeral purposes and left the daughter in the care of her sister.
Upon her arrival, she received the news of her daughter being missing since August 28, 2021. Fortunately, the victim’s dress was found on a dry line in the corridor of the accused room in the same locality during the course of the search.
The accused came out of the room when the door was knocked. The complainant and a witness in the case forced themselves into the room only to see the victim lying on the bed of the accused person. The accused was arrested and handed over to DOVVSU. The victim said the accused had sexual intercourse with her and locked her in the room whenever he went out.
Keteku Enock Yaw admitted having sexual intercourse with the victim only twice. A police medical report confirmed that the victim was defiled.
The accused, Enock, was charged with abduction and defilement when put before the court.
