UEW Approves Prof. Andrews Ofori-Birikorang as the Acting Vice-Chancellor
The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has congratulated Prof. Andrews Ofori-Birikorang on his appointment as Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University following the end of term and retirement of Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni on September 30, 2021, at an emergency meeting in Accra.
Members of the Council took turns wishing Prof. Ofori-Birikorang well in his new position and pledging their unwavering support.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, in turn, expressed gratitude to members of the UEW Council for their support and best wishes.
He informed the Council of Leadership that he would do everything he could to heal the wounds at UEW so that the university as a whole would be a better place to be or associate with.
Some past and current students of UEW upon hearing the professor’s new role took to social to congratulate him and share how impactful Prof. Ofori-Birikorang has been to their life.
Until his appointment, Professor Ofori-Birikorang was the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Education and Communication of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
