Members of the Health Service Workers Union (HSWU) has reminded the government to fulfil the covid-19 incentives it promised them.

The Union has made clear its resolve to push and make sure government fulfils its promise to them, especially the front line staff battling Covid-19  which has affected the world through to this time.

There is no denying the fact that, the Union’s members also contributed their quota to help fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and still are doing on a daily basis as the efforts continue to defeat the virus.

In the wake of the detection of the virus in Ghana which led to a lockdown in March 2020, the government promised some incentives to health workers of which the HSWU is part hence their call on the government to fulfil its promise.

According to the General Secretary of the Union, Mr Franklin Owusu Ansah, the Health Service Workers Union has also called on the government to help resolve some outstanding issues of pension payment of staff who have served diligently in the sector.

Ahead of its week celebration, the Union has planned to engage the government more for improved conditions of service for its workers.
