Ghanaian rapper and Sarknation boss, Michael Addo known as Sarkodie has expressed his dissatisfaction with how the ‘Honourable’ title is being abused in his motherland Ghana.
He expressed his concern in a post via Twitter. This is after videos and photos flooded the internet in the late hours of Wednesday and early Thursday morning of happenings and acts of certain members of parliament as the parliamentarians convened to dissolve and inaugurate the 7th and 8th parliament respectively.
Many videos are being circulated online showing MPs shoving and pushing one another in parliament house. Other videos and photos also showed parliamentarians involved in ballot snatching and kicking. These actions of the MPs who are mostly referred to by their titles, ‘Honourable’ has led to many Ghanaians expressing disgust and disbelieve as to whether these are actually the honourables we the citizens elected to represent us in parliament.
See Sarkodie’s post below. Let us know what you think of the actions of the MPs and whether you believe we actually throw the Honourable title around as Sarkodie suggests.
We just throw around the “Honorable” Title …— Sarkodie (@sarkodie) January 7, 2021
