Veteran actor Ekow Blankson is dead
Renowned Ghanaian actor and businessman Ekow Blankson has died, myactiveoneline.com has gathered. His death was first announced by Accra-based Hitz FM in a tweet on Monday, October 3, 2022, which said, “BREAKING: Veteran actor and Commercial Manager at GhanaWeb, Ekow Blankson, is dead”.
Ekow Blankson, until his demise was the Commercial Manager at GhanaWeb and has also served in several roles at some leading media houses in the country including Media General where he was the Director of Brands and Corporate Communications. He also worked at TV Africa and with the Multimedia brand.
He starred in several movies including Borga, Frozen Emotion, Savannah, In April, Checkmate, Illusions, A Woman Scorned, Pool Party and Famous.
Mr Blankson was not only active in the movie industry but also was active academically and had obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Bachelor’s in Theatre Arts, both at the University of Ghana. He also obtained a Marketing certificate at the Heineken Global Commerce University in Amsterdam.
He was a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana.
