There seems to be a lot of sympathies, especially from celebrities for Akuapem Poloo over her conviction by the Accra Circuit Court.

The actress has been convicted after pleading guilty to three charges levelled against her when she posted inappropriate photos of her and her son online some months ago.

Many celebrities have expressed their displeasure in the judgment given the socialite. That included broadcaster Bridget Otoo who compared the case to Nam1’s case in a post on Twitter yesterday.

It didn’t end just there as Sarkodie has also added his voice to the campaign to get her freed. He joins a tall list of celebrities including Efya, Lydia Forson, Hajia4Real and Mama Zimbi in the #FreeAkuapemPoloo campaign.

Sarkodie in a tweet apologized on behalf of the video vixen and pleaded that the law pardons her on the basis of her child who needs the mother around. Her son is just 7 years old and definitely would need his mother around.

Part of his tweet read, “I think it’s a little harsh to separate a child from the mum just because of pictures taken.” See his full tweet below.
