Siisi Baidoo, a Ghanaian gospel singer has claimed that gospel artists do not receive the backing they need. As a result, it’s tough for them to motivate one another to improve their musical abilities.

The worshipper remarked that more is needed to be done to help gospel artists drive one another in order to propel Ghanaian gospel music across the continent.

“Support and unity are what really pushes people when it comes to ministering. We just really have to push ourselves”, he added.

The ‘Onyame Tumfo’ hitmaker told Johnnie Hughes on TV3 New Day’s  Entertainment segment on Friday, September 8, 2021, that churches should also encourage gospel artists.

However, he cautioned gospel musicians from acting irresponsibly when they receive such assistance and opportunity.

“We should get a lot of support from ourselves and from the churches to push us. When given the opportunity to be pushed, we should be responsible enough and handle it properly.”

Siisi revealed that he has enjoyed music since he was a child when discussing his musical career. People began to have testimonies and interactions with God when he was ministering in High School, and he knew it was his calling.

He claimed that his participation in acapella ensembles, church choirs, and other music organizations boosted his musical career and inspired him to give his best in worship.

When worshippers come under the anointing of God, Siisi Baidoo, who operates a solo ministry, said it’s humbling.

This, he explained, is due to God’s generosity in allowing him to be a benefit to others through his efforts.
