Akuapem Poloo Granted Bail
There is a piece of good news making waves on the internet for sympathizers of female socialite Akuapem Poloo.
Just days into serving her 90-day jail sentence for posting nude pictures of herself with her son on social media, she has found some reprieve. Her lawyer Andrews Kudzo Vortia filed an appeal for his client on Monday, 19th April 2021 to counter her jail sentence.
While the appeal case is pending his client has been granted bail after he argued that the shortness of the jail sentence means his client could end up serving the entire sentence before the conclusion of the appeal case.
That piece of argument got the job done as The Accra High Court presided by Justice Ruby Aryeetey granted the actress a bail. Her bail is in the sum of GHS80,000 and three sureties.
She is to report to the police every two weeks and has been asked to leave her passport with the Police.
