VIP Jeuon increases transport fares, Accra to Kumasi now GHS100
Before other transport unions agree to an upward adjustment of transport fares, VIP Jeoun Transport Services has already kick-started announced theirs with passengers expected to start paying the new fares on Monday, October 24.
The VIP Jeoun Transport Services in a statement on 23rd October 2022 communicated the new adjustment to their numerous patrons.
Pressure is also being mounted from the quarters of Ghana Private Road Transport Union on the government to enable them to increase their fares due to the high cost of fuel.
Transport operators are targeting a 40% increment.
At the pumps, petrol has crossed the GH¢13 mark and currently goes for GH¢13.10 while diesel has also beaten the GH¢15 mark and currently is sold at GH¢15.99
