The quarterly routine meeting of the Monetary Policy Council of the Bank of Ghana will not be happening today September 26th 2022 as planned.

In a statement, the Central Bank explained that the MPC meeting time would, unfortunately, clash with that of the International Monetary Fund’s next round of discussions.

Currently, the Britton Woods institution is scheduled to commence discussion following its second visit from September 26th to October 7 on how they could help some government policies with a loan arrangement.

Mission Chief of the IMF to Ghana, Stephane Roudet will be the one to lead the delegation, and a lot more stakeholders will be engaged this time round.

The Monetary Policy Committee has therefore revealed that the following Monetary Policy Meeting will be communicated on October 7 when the arrangement between the government and the IMF has been finalised.
