8 shot dead in rival Mafia clashes
Clashes between rival Mafia groups leaves 8 dead
When most people think of Mafia groups the name Mexico or Italy almost always pops up. Over time human rights activists have come out to champion how racially prejudiced it is to almost always assume every Latino or Brown person is an automatic criminal and profiled by police and ordinary individuals.
The hard push of these sympathizing champions of such a noble course becomes increasingly difficult to pursue when incidents such as gang on gang attacks in these places continue to flood the media.
Recently eight people have been reported dead from a shootout by armed men during a party held in the Northern State of Zacatecas.
Not forgetting the eighteen who had been shot dead in June believed to have involved the popular rival gangs of Jalisco and Sinaloa cartels or even other deaths before this.
Investigating the unfortunate incident, the Police in Mexico suspect the involvement of some of the country’s most powerful criminal groups.
Local authorities say these gangs have intensified their turf war in the northern state. Reason for the fight, which group gets to control drug smuggling raids going on between the U.S and Mexico.
As investigations go on it is hoped that the Police are able to apprehend those responsible and prevent further loss of lives.
