Spezia rejects Sassuolo’s offer for Emmanuel Gyasi
Serie A side Spezia Calcio has turned down bid for Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Gyasi from Sassuolo. Sporting Director Riccardo Pecini turned down the offer for the Ghanaian winger thus keeping him at the Stadio Alberto Picco beyond the winter transfer window.
Gyasi was targeted as a replacement for Ivorian midfielder Jeremie Boga who is in line to sign for Atalanta. But the Little Eagles have no intention of parting ways with one of their key men, especially during the winter window, thus, knocked back the Neroverdi’s offer.
The 27-year old has made 19 appearances for Spezia and Sporting Director Riccardo Pecini rejected the offer from the Neroverdi with the hope that Gyasi will help them avoid relegation.
Spezia is currently a place above the drop zone with five more points than Genoa, the team that sits in the last relegation slot. However, they will need more than just the current five-point cushion to stay in the league at the end of the season and Gyasi who has three goals in 19 league appearances is vital for the Little Eagles’ quest for survival.
