Six new players available to play for Black Stars
Ghana’s preparation for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar has been greatly boosted after news broke of six new additions to the team, a piece of welcome news for Coach Otto Addo and his technical team.
President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Simeon Edwin Okraku broke the news when he posted a picture of himself with Atletico Bilbao star Inaki Williams before videos later surfaced on Twitter of the player announcing his switch to join the Black Stars.
The GFA capo posted, “On April 11, 2022 a day I arrived in Madrid without any contact but with a singular ambition to find a talent who can contribute to our common destiny. Welcome home Inaki“.
Included in the list of new names are Brighton and Hove Albion’s Tariq Lamptey who was at the Cape Coast stadium last month to support the Black Stars in an Afcon qualifier against Madagascar.
Joining the Brighton man are Stephan Ambrosius and Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer both of Hamburger SV, Patrick Pfeffer of Darmstadt 98 and Salisu Mohammed of Southampton.
Other players in line to switch allegiance to play for the Black Stars are Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, both of whom have been strong targets for Ghana.
