Samuel Inkoom joins Hearts of Oak on a free transfer
Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Inkoom has signed for Premier League Champions Accra Hearts of Oak. The Phobians announced the signing of the 2010 world cup campaigner via its official Twitter handle.
Inkoom has been training with Hearts of Oak for weeks now and rumours that he will join Sulley Muntari as one of the veterans at the club went rife. Several questions were asked about his Kotoko past but that has not been a stopping block for the former FC Dnipro and FC Basel right-back.
The right-back who started out with Sekondi Hasaacas in the Ghana Premier League before joining Asante Kotoko with whom he won the Ghana Premier League in the 2007-2008 season has played for several European clubs with the last being Torpedo Kutaisi in the Georgian league. He became a free agent after his contract with them ended in January this year.
He has signed a one year deal and is expected to be in the squad to face his former side Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the Super Clash if his International Transfer Certificate is sorted out.
