Sadio Mane included in Senegal squad despite injury
Senegal’s head coach Aliou Cisse has included starman Sadio Mane in his final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar despite the player picking up an injury while playing for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Tuesday.
Mane was substituted off in the 20th minute after he sustained a knee injury in the 15th minute of the game which the Bundesliga champions won by 6-1. His injury became a major talking point with fans hoping the former Liverpool man makes the trip to the Asian country.
Aliou Cisse named his final squad that included the Chelsea pair of Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly and Fode Ballo-Toure of AC Milan.
