Sadio Mane has made up his mind to leave Liverpool, Bayern Munich in wait
Sadio Mane has reportedly decided to end his association with Liverpool with the Senegalese international having spent six successful years with the club.
Although Mane is said to be on the open market, Bayern Munich are strong contenders to sign the Senegalese winger who has won almost every trophy possible at Liverpool.
Signed for the Red in 2016 from Southampton, the winger has made a total of 269 appearances with 120 goals in all.
During his time as a player, some notable achievements in his honour were: Carabao Cup (2022), Premier League (2020), Champions League (2019), UEFA Super Cup (2019), FIFA Club World Cup (2019)
Sadio Mane has established himself as one of the best forwards in world football during his time at Liverpool.
Signed from Southampton in the summer of 2016, Mane’s levels have increased year on year to help deliver major honours at Anfield.
After taking the club’s No.10 shirt ahead of 2018-19 – a season during which he committed his long term future to the club, the Senegal international scored 26 times in 50 appearances across all competitions to help the Reds win the Champions League, their first piece of silverware since his arrival.
To what’s considered an ailing wave, Jürgen Klopp’s men were walloped 1-0 during the final of the European competition staged in Paris on Saturday night, May 28. It was quite clear, that, Klopp’s side played their game, but the Champions League is beyond just tactics and statistics. It is a game of science and logic which could not consonant with Liverpool’s style of play.
As to whether the champions league dilemma is the core reason Sadio Mane is leaving the Reds, posterity shall be fair to us all. Aside from that, he may just want to try a new experience.
