Ronaldo first to leave the pitch following Manchester United’s drubbing at Watford
Christiano Ronaldo was the first to walk off the pitch following another disaster for Manchester United away at Watford where the afternoon became a scene of nightmares for the Manchester giants.
The Red Devils are currently in what can be considered a crisis on the pitch, having lost three of their last five matches with the only victory coming against Tottenham that ironically was enough to see Ole’s opposite number Nuno Espirito lose his job with the Lilywhites. In that span, they have lost 0-5 against Liverpool, drawn 2-2 with Atalanta in the Champions League before losing 2-0 against city rivals Manchester City.
Ronaldo who had a goal disallowed for offside provided a great assist to Donny Van de Beek who scored United’s only goal in the match. But that was all that it was as the Red Devils watched the Hornets terrorize them to the amazement of the home fans, losing 4-1 after 90 minutes.
The Portuguese superstar walked quickly off the pitch looking enraged by the results. The situation at Manchester United is very dire with #OleOut trending on Twitter over the past month since results started going bad for the club and it has only increased with this defeat.
Would the powers at Old Trafford call the shots now or they will trust Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with more time to right the wrongs of the team? That is a millionth question that begs for answers but what can be confirmed for now is, Manchester United would be one place above the bottom half of the table if Everton and Tottenham Hotspurs both secure wins this weekend.
