Richard Boadu takes over from Ismail Ganiyu as Kotoko captain
Kumasi Asante Kotoko has appointed Richard Boadu as the club’s new captain for the 2022/2023 football season.
Having handed him the armband, the club believes the lad is capable of leading them to the ‘Promise Land’.
Richard Boadu, 25, joined Kotoko last season from Medeama SC. He will be assisted by Yussif Mubarik (first deputy), Ibrahim Danland (second deputy), Christopher Nettey (third deputy), and new signing Pouaty Dendoum (fourth deputy).
This development comes after Ismail Ganiyu, who captained the club last season and saw them emerge as champions requested to terminate his contract with the club.
