Kwadwo Asamoah joins Cagliari until end of season

Ghana international, Kwadwo Asamoah, has joined Serie A side, Cagliari Calcio, on a free transfer until the end of the current season.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since mutually terminating his contract with Inter Milan before the start of the current season.

The former Juventus star had injury issues at Milan and was restricted to the bench after recovering from the injuries under Conte.

The club announced the signing of the Black Stars midfielder in a statement on their website.

“Cagliari Calcio announces that it has acquired the sport performances of Kwadwo Asamoah: the player has signed a contract that binds him to the Club until the end of the current season,” it says.

He made his Serie A debut for Udinese on January 11, 2009, playing against Sampdoria at home and made 134 appearances, scoring eight 8 goals.

In the summer of 2012, he was bought by Juventus. In six seasons with the Bianconeri; he won 6 Serie A titles, 4 Italian Cups and 3 Italian Super Cups.

He played 156 games, including 27 between Champions League and Europa League, scoring 5 goals.

In 2018/19, Asamoah joined Inter Milan from Juventus.

In two seasons, he played 53 matches with the Nerazzurri; 40 in the Serie A, 1 in Coppa Italia, 9 in Champions League, and 3 in Europa League.

Kwadwo Asamoah, who played in Italy in his entire professional career, has played 71 games for the Black Stars, scoring four goals.
