I will support an empty stadium against Arsenals – Arsenal fans cry out on Twitter
If things were supposed to be back to normal as everyone is saying with regards to the return of fans to the various stadiums on match days, then Arsenal doesn’t wish this normal should be back.
Playing the first match of the season against newly-promoted Brentford who had not played English top division football since the 1946-47 season, the Gunners were left clueless of their direction after 90 minutes of football.
A Sergi Canos 22nd goal for the Bees set up what would be a miserable first-day outing for Mikel Arteta’s side. Playing without Aubameyang and Alexander Lacazzete due to injury, Arteta decided to leave youngster, Bukay Saka on the bench with Folarin Balogun leading the lines for the Gunners.
And after the Bees got their second of the day through Christian Norgaard with less than a quarter of an hour to play. There was no coming back for Arteta’s side as they chased the game with no luck.
Many fans have taken to social media especially Twitter, to express their disappointment with the results as others even would support an empty stadium against Arsenal if the club was playing against any empty stadium. See some of the fans reactions below in the thread.
Others think a change at the club is long overdue and should now be done.
Well, what do you think of the 37 remaining matches of the season for Arsenal? And should the change come as Rwandan President Kagame and others are calling for? Let us know in the comments sections.
