Hearts of Oak to start using Pobiman Sports Complex from today
Accra Hearts of Oak will today move to their Pobiman facility and begin using the facility for training, abandoning the St. Thomas Aquinas School Park which has been their training ground for years.
The Continental Club Masters announced the decision to begin using the facility in a publication on its website. It said the venue will be its training ground and also be used for other team purposes until the official opening of the facility later.
“Hearts of Oak will officially hold its first training session at the Pobiman sports complex today. The pitch at the facility is ready for usage hence the decision to shift our training venue from St. Thomas Aquinas school Park to Pobiman,” the statement began.
“This year, the Phobians plan to use the facility as a training camp where all of our training sessions and other team activities will be held whilst we wait patiently for the official commissioning of the edifice.
The vision and enthusiasm to own a well-structured facility with world-class standard training pitches and facilities is borne out of optimism that has been made possible by the Hearts board. The new facility can boast of 4 different training pitches, a mini golf course, gym, swimming pool and other modern sports facilities.
“The optimism doesn’t come out of nowhere. The board has put in place structures that ensured that most of the players have been relocated very close to the training grounds. The Pobiman project is supervised by the project manager, Alhaji Imoro Braimah,” it concluded.
