Phobians to face Guinean side in preliminary round of CAF Champions League
Ghanaian champions, Accra Hearts of Oak will begin their 2021/22 Africa campaign with an away tie against Guinean side Club Industriel de Kamsar.
The Phobians who will be the only Ghanaian side in CAF inter-club competitions this season will have a short trip to face their West African neighbours in the preliminary round to begin their campaign to conquer Africa 21 years after their last success in the competition.
Samuel Boadu’s double-winning side have already added new faces to their squad with the latest being Great Olympics skipper, Gladson Awako who will be announced soon. Having had a successful season in the domestic front last season, they will hope to start well in Africa ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season in October.
Hearts of Oak will play away at the Guineans home between 10-12th September before the return leg comes off a week later in Ghana between 17 – 19th September 2021.
The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the next round and away goals will be used to break a tie where the two teams end on level points.
