Hasaacas ladies heavily represented in Caf awards final shortlist
Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies have made the final three shortlist for the 2022 CAF awards for Women’s Club of the Year.
Hasaacas Ladies were outstanding in the 2020/2021 season after winning both Ghana Women’s Premier League and the FA Cup.
They also won the WAFU B tournament and qualified for the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt where they managed to reach the final of the tournament but were defeated by South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns, winners of the Caf Women’s Champions League along with AS FAR (Morocco), who finished third in the CAF Women’s Champions League are the other two teams in the running for the top prize.
In the Women’s Young Player of the Year category, Hasaacas Ladies duo Doris Boaduwaa and Evelyn Badu made it to the final 3 while Badu is also nominated for Women’s Interclub Player of the Year.
The awards ceremony is set to be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, in Rabat, Morocco.
