Kotoko got off to a slow start after they were held 1-1 by Techiman Eleven Wonderers at the Accra Sports Stadium. Kwame Poku’s second half strike for Kotoko was cancelled by Wonders substitute Prince Okraku.

Appiah McCarthy and Hans Kwofie scored for Ashanti Gold who also dropped points after drawing 2-2 with Karela United. Diawusie Taylor and Samuel Ofori were on target for Karela United at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Jonah Attuquah and Stephen Amankona both scored for Legon Cities and Berekum Chelsea respectively as the two teams shared spoils in the League opener on Saturday.
