Godfred Donsah signs for Yeni Malatyaspor on a two-year deal
Ghanaian midfielder Godfred Donsah has Turkish Super League side Yeni Malatyaspor on a two-year deal. The midfielder joined the Turkish side on a free transfer after he parted ways with Serie B side FC Crotone.
The midfielder spent the first half of the season with Serie B side FC Crotone, making 14 appearances and scoring one goal. He joined the Red and Blue in the summer after terminating his contract with Bologna FC.
Donsah will not be new to the Turkish Lig, having spent time with Caykur Rizespor in August 2020. He will now be teammates with Ghanaian striker Benjamin Tetteh at the Turkish club.
He has predominantly spent his career in Italy where he spent time with Palermo at the youth level before switching to Hellas Verona and then Cagliari before joining Bologna on a loan deal with obligations to make it permanent if he made his debut. That deal was finally made permanent and he played for The Greyhounds with loan stints at Cercle Brugge and Caykur Rizerspor coming in between.
The 25-year-old Accra born terminated his deal with Bologna in August 2021 before signing on for Crotone on a two-year deal with whom he made 14 league appearances and registered one goal.
