King Faisal had to rely on an immaculate stoppage-time finish from in-form striker Kwame Peprah to secure a vital win over Medeama SC at the Nana Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman on Tuesday.
Head coach of the Insha Allah side, Nana Andy Sinasen, frightened by his side’s position on the league log urged them on to secure the vital win despite facing a strong Medeama side that had applied the brakes on Hearts of Oak.
His counterpart Samuel Boadu confined Kwasi Donsu, Joseph Tetteh Zutah and, Ibrahim Yaro to the bench.
The encounter produced a keenly contested fight in midfield while the attack of the two sides waited to chance on any loose ball to punish the opposition.
But, it was King Faisal who stole the win when Kwame Peprah stole the points for his side through a glorious strike in the 91st minute.
Despite the win Faisal remained chained in the drop zone while Medeama sit 10th with 17 points.
