GFA trusts Otto Addo and his team to lead Black Stars to Qatar
The Ghana Football Association has reappointed Otto Addo as head coach of the national senior male football team, the Black Stars. He will work with his previous assistants when he was given an interim role for the World Cup playoff against Nigeria in March.
Chris Hughton has been maintained as technical advisor with George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani continuing in their respective capacities as assistants.
Their reappointment followed a prolonged negotiation after the match against Nigeria which saw the team qualify for the global showpiece in Qatar.
They will oversee the preparation for the tournament which kicks off in November with Portugal, Korea Republic and Uruguay awaiting the Black Stars in the group stage. The four-man technical team will also supervise the qualification campaign for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with two matches taking place in June and another two in September.
Otto Addo and his technical team are expected to release their squad soon for the upcoming Afcon qualifiers against Madagascar and the Central African Republic in June.
