GFA Revokes Venue License Of Two Premier League Clubs
The Club Licensing Board of the Ghana Football Association has revoked the licenses of two premier league clubs. The decision comes after the Board undertook its mid-season spot check inspection on match day 17 of the ongoing league season.
In a release on the GFA website, it stated that Elmina Sharks’ Nduom Sports Stadium and Berekum Chelsea’s Golden City Park have had their licenses revoked. While three other venues face similar fate if the owners don’t keep them in shape.
Revocation of match venue License:
Elmina Sharks – Nduom Sports Stadium
Berekum Chelsea & Berekum Arsenal – Golden city park
The others who received warnings are:
Dreams FC – Theatre of Dreams, Dawu
Eleven Wonders / King Faisal FC – Ohene Ameyaw park, Techiman
Bechem United – Bechem park
Meanwhile, the Board has served notice that it will continue the inspection at the following match venues:
Akoon Park, TARKWA
CAM Park, Aiyinase
Accra Sports Stadium, Accra
Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi
Cape Coast Sports Stadium, Cape Coast
The Board will also embark on unannounced inspections at Division One Match Venues from match day 12. Clubs are also advised to refer to the recommendations to fix and maintain the venues.
