Full-Time: Results from Saturday’s Caf Champions League second leg

On Saturday, seven matches were played in the Caf champions league second-leg and with much at stake, each team offered its best. We bring you the results of the matches that were played and the fixtures for the remaining matches today.

Platinum Fc and Sagrada Esperanca were not able to determine a winner after 180 minutes of football over two legs in two cities. They played out a goalless draw in Zimbabwe and had to settle it via penalty kicks which Sagrada from Angola emerged victorious on a 4-5 to advance to the next round.

Kenyan giants, Tusker after being held to a 1-1 draw last week by Djibouti champions, Arta Solar 7 used home advantage to outclass their rivals by beating them 3-0 in Kenya. That secured them a 4-1 aggregate win to advance to the next round.

Zesco United also failed to sail through despite a 2-1 home win over Royal Leopards from Eswatini. The visitors advanced to the next round on away goals after a 2-2 aggregate draw over two legs. This followed Zesco’s 1-0 defeat in the reverse a week ago. Another Zambia side Zanaco made light works of Equitiguinean side Akonagui by defeating them 1-0 to make it 3-0 aggregate following last week’s 2-0 away win. They advance on a 3-0 aggregate.

Malawian side Nyasa Big Bullets were no match for South Africa club AmaZulu who though lost the first leg at home by a lone goal overcame the odds and beat their rivals by 1-3 to qualify on 2-3 aggregate.

Nouadhibu eased past Benionoise club ESAE 2-0 to end the round with a 3-1 aggregate victory that ensured their qualification to the next round. The Mauritania side scored both goals in the second half, first through Hemeya Tanjy from the penalty spot in the 55th minute before Bodda Mouhsine sealed victory with a quarter of an hour left to play.
