Football prodigy Daniel Nunoo scores wonder free-kick goal

Fast-rising Ghanaian teen attacker cum midfielder Daniel Nunoo scored a spectacular free-kick for a Select Side in a match against Inter Allies in Accra.

The young footballer who is owned by Accra Shooting Stars after previously starring for Accra Sporting Club as an Under-14 was in his regular element in the match for a Select Side put together by a scouting team against Inter Allies in Accra. Known for his goal-scoring prowess, Daniel Nunoo stepped up to take a free-kick just outside the box and completely stunned everyone with an expertly taken strike that left the opposition goalkeeper with no chance at keeping it out.

Nunoo stepped away from the ball, took a slow run directly at the ball and fired a pacey shot over the wall and onto the underside of the right side of the goalkeeper. The ball hit the underside of the bar and bounced right behind the goalkeeper who was then moving in wonderland in a frantic attempt to keep the already scored goal out.

Daniel Nunoo, a 15-year-old from Nsakina started his footballing journey in the Under-10 for Soccer Calculators, a colt club based in Nsakina. He was transferred on loan to Dansoman Barcelona now Great Somas where he scored over 10 goals and provided a similar number of assists for the club. He then went on to play for Nsakina FC for two seasons on another loan deal before transferring to Accra Sporting Club where he also played a starring role as an attacker for the side.

Apart from his goal-scoring exploits, he has quick feet, is very strong on the ball and is a brilliant passer of the ball. He though naturally a forward, is great at tracking back to support defensively, underpinning his in-game work rate. Nunoo is also very intelligent with his movement on and off the ball, the reason for his high scoring rate even at a tender age.

Nunoo has already bagged some prizes as a player, winning the Ga South Tournament Best Player and also the Golden Boot in the Under-14 Juvenile League. The hardworking attacker is very skilful and that is evident in the free-kick goal he scored which can be likened to that of top free-kick takers such as Andre Pirlo, Christiano Ronaldo and the likes.
