Felix Annan hunts for a new club after terminating Kotoko contract
Kumasi Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan has reportedly terminated his contract and is on the lookout for a new team.
The goal custodian who has served Kotoko for years following his move to the club in 2011 has brought the curtains down on his career with the Porcupine Warriors. This follows his demotion to a backup goalkeeper behind Kwame Baah and later Razak Abalora.
According to reports, his exit is based on his reduced role at the club though he still serves as the skipper for the side. He was used as a backup last season to Razak Abalora and even before then he was a backup to Kwame Baah who was the favourite of former coach, Maxwell Konadu.
There are no concrete sources of his next move but it is rumoured that he is looking for a club outside the borders of Ghana and preferably outside Africa. He however is reported to be of interest to Medeama SC with champions, Hearts of Oak also credited with an interest in the shot-stopper a few weeks ago.
Annan’s adds to Ausgustine Okrah and Naby Keita who both left the club as free agents following the expiration of their contracts.
Meanwhile, the Porcupine Warriors have introduced two new signings Richmond Lamptey from Inter Allies and Maxwell Agyemang from Wanamafo Mighty Warriors in preparation for the new season.
