Fake ticket seller for Hearts of Oak versus Kotoko game arrested
Accra Hearts of Oak has announced that a fake ticket seller for their week 7 outstanding premier league match against fierce rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday has been arrested.
A statement from the club on Monday detailed that the arrest was made on the day of the match, Sunday, February 20, 2022, in collaboration with the police and efforts are being made to apprehend others who are part of what investigations reveal might be a syndicate.
Parts of the statement read, “The management of Accra Hearts of Oak in collaboration with the Ghana Police on Sunday, 20th February 2022 effected the arrest of a man at the Accra Sports Stadium who was selling fake match tickets for the Super Clash between Hearts and Kotoko”.
“The Police have interrogated the suspect and are continuing with investigations to arrest and prosecute all those involved in what is suspected to be a syndicate.”
Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko took to the pitch yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium in a clash of the titans in the Ghana Premier League in a week 7 outstanding clash to officially bring the first round o the competition to a close. The match ended in a nil-nil draw.
