Eto’o denies foul play in Covid-19 results of opponents
Cameroon Football Federation president Samuel Eto’o has denied that his outfit has a hand in the large number of positive Covid-19 results returned by opponents ahead of matches.
Burkina Faso had several of their players including head coach Kamou Malo returning positive Covid-19 tests ahead of their tournament opener against the host. The Stallions suspected foul play.
Comoros who faced the host in the round of 16 had at least 10 players returning positive Covid-19 results sparking another rave of accusations of foul play by the Cameroonians.
However, Eto’o had denied the accusations saying he is against cheating and the agency responsible for the tests is under CAF, not Fecafoot.
