Nakolo Divine Strikers and Sirigu Super Stars will face off tomorrow at the Nakolo Town Park to play their final match of the season which was rescheduled following their failure to play it on the initial date.

The reasons for the postponement of the match were because there were no corner flags at the field which are a requirement for the match to take place, the lack of security at the venue which the referees said they felt unsafe in the absence of security and finally, that home team reported late to the match venue.

This is the second time this particular match has been rescheduled. The first was the entire league that had their last match of the season rescheduled following a petition by one of the teams, Afeni FC against Super Stars which the DFA required time to settle the case before the conclusion of the season.

However, when the green light was given for all league matches on the District to be played on August 21, 2021, the Divine Strikers versus Super Stars match could not come off. That has prompted the DFA to reschedule it to Thursday, August 26 and the District Division Three League curtains will be lowered after that match which is the last for the season.

Divine Strikers are lying third on the table with 4 points while Super Stars occupy the top spot with 11 points from five matches. The results of the match would not change the positions on the table. Super Stars though on the same points as Afeni FC, the Stars are ahead on a head-to-head basis and would be the sole representatives of the district in the Regional Division 2 league.

Hopefully, the factors that led to the postponement of the last match would not rear their heads again tomorrow and the two teams can end the season and have a break to refresh for the next season. The match will be at Nakolo Town Park at 3 pm tomorrow.
