Chelsea begin search for Thomas Tuhel’s replacement, Graham Potter, others shortlisted
Chelsea Football Club has approached Graham Potter as one of the candidates to replace Thomas Tuchel.
He’s not the only one in the list, it includes Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane. The club’s new owner Todd Boehly will continue talks in the next hours to find the favourite replacement for the Blues family.
Todd is expected to approach Brighton later in the day for permission to talk to their head coach Graham Potter. He will also talk to Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane, who are both currently out of work.
Chelsea invested a record of £273m to beef up Tuchel’s squad this summer, bringing in Wesley Fofana, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, among others.
Putting the final nail on the coffin of Roman Abramovich’s era is the recent sacking of head coach Thomas Tuchel after parting ways with director Marina Granovskaia, chairman Bruce Buck and technical and performance advisor Petr Cech early this summer.
