Aduana Stars maintain their unbeaten start to the season after seeing off Medeama SC
League leaders Aduana Stars fought hard to maintain their unbeaten start to the season after overcoming David Duncan’s Medeama SC on the road. The Ogya Boys who were second on the table prior to the match have moved to the top of the table after the slim win in Tarkwa.
Paa Kwesi Fabin named a strong side that included Sam Adams, Joseph Addo, Emmanuel Gyamfi and Stephen Badu Anorkye to face the Mauve and Yellow at the Akoon Community Park at Tarkwa. David Duncan’s men were unbeaten at home this season having seen off Real Tamale United in their only home fixture this season so far.
Godfred Poku Wakii struck the opener with just 20 minutes played to give the Fire Boys the lead. Medeama could not level despite efforts to pull parity as the first half ended with Aduana holding on to their lone goal lead.
The win means Aduana has now secured three victories and one draw in the ongoing campaign with Medeama settling for two wins and as many defeats. Kwadwo Amoako was sent off for Medeama in first-half injury time.
