You took GH¢14 million in 2013 as ex gratia, this is the truth – Abronye DC tells Mahama
Mr Kwame Baffoe also known as Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has taken another swipe at Former President Mahama and still standing by his comments that the former president got an ex gratia worth GH¢14 million in 2013.
“Let me reiterate my position that Mr John Mahama indeed received GH¢14 million as ex gratia in 2013 which was credited into his Agricultural Development Bank Account.”
He also pointed out that an amount totalling GH¢15.6 million has been enjoyed by the former president as the end-of-service benefit since 2017.
“Since 2017, it is important to note that Mr John Mahama has since received an end-of-service package of GH¢15,612,319.”
He then insisted that although the former President is currently retired, he “still receives benefits such as state-provided staff not exceeding four (4) including Joyce Bawa Mogtari and Felix Ofosu Kwakye who receive GH¢9,000 every month as allowances and a furnished and up-to-date office.”
Abronye DC then challenged the former president that if he feels the plight of Ghanaians then he should refund all those monies he was enjoying.
According to Kwame Baffoe, this is the highest ex gratia paid in Ghana’s history.
These claims have, however, been rebuffed by the former President John Mahama who in a statement deemed the claims as false and unintelligent and accused Kwame Baffoe of being noted for fabricating and propagating falsehood on behalf of Nana Akufo–Addo against the ex-president.
