Stop voting for NDC, you won’t see development – Akufo-Addo to Yapei Kusagwu constituents
President Akufo-Addo has appealed to the people of Yapei Kusagwu in the Savannah Region to change their voting trend in the 2024 polls.
Voting patterns in the region through the years place the area as one of the strongholds of the opposition National Democratic Congress and has never been captured by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
President Akufo-Addo who wants this trend to change criticized the lawmaker for the area for failing to aid his constituents with the needed development.
The achievement of former Member of Parliament for the area Seidu Amadu who occupied the seat till 2012 was rather touted.
While addressing the Yapei Kusagwu residents after he inspected the Fufulso –Bunija road during his Savannah Regional tour, president Akufo-Addo insisted that the current MP, John Jinapor has failed his people.
“The young man [John Jinapor] who for a long time was minister of power, 17 communities in his district still have not been connected to the electricity grid,” President AKufo-Addo teased.
He also said the educational development under Mr Jinapor was nothing to write home about with no single Senior High School the in the Kusagwu area.
