Show me any projects you did in the Volta region – Mahama calls out NPP
Former President John Dramani Mahama has lashed out at the New Patriotic Party government again over which administration has done more projects for the Volta Region.
The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress in the 2020 polls this time around has challenged the NPP to point out any project they can boldly say they spearheaded for the development of the region.
He added that I am not talking about “Municipal and district assembly projects, small clinics, and toilets I am talking major projects I am having a list of mine and what the NDC has done so far in the Volta Region so they should come with theirs”.
Mr John Mahama made these claims during an interview on Global FM while on his “Thank You” tour of the Volta Region.
When asked why the NDC is being criticized over the fact that they regard the Volta Region as their election ‘world bank’ but has not developed the region for being faithful to their party all these years, he pointed out that it was the NPP that was pushing such propaganda in the Volta Region.
He further challenged the NPP that most of the major projects carried out in the Volta Region are courtesy of an NDC administration from the late Former president Rawlings through to late Prof John Atta Mills and himself.
Both political parties have taken swipes at each other at the least opportune time and that is what currently is the major exchange point between them now as both are either on tours or conferences.
While President Akufo-Addo is currently touring the Central Region, Mr Mahama has led his NDC to the Volta Region on his ‘Thank You’ tour aimed at thanking voters for the votes in the last general elections.
