Police pick up NDC Northern Regional vice chairman
Following Tuesday 23rd August 2022 attack on the opposition National Democratic Congress office by some angry youth, the Police are said to have picked up the 1st Vice Chairman of the NDC in the Northern Region, Alhaji Rufai Vielim to assist with investigations.
He is supposed to respond to the allegations levelled against him that he influenced the youth to launch an attack on the office which led to the destruction of so many office properties.
Information has it that Alhaji Rufai Vielim did not accept the NDC’s Regional Executive Committee’s decision to let one Mr Adolf play the role of regional chairman for the time being.
This decision allegedly angered the youth as they, unfortunately, attacked the party office to express their displeasure of Mr Ali Adolf acting as regional chairman after the demise of Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila.
The angry youth carried out the action because they will not allow First Regional Vice-chairman Alhaji Rufai Vielim to be disrespected by the other regional executives.
