NPP to sanction Alan Kyeremanten supporters
Leadership of the NPP will meet to deliberate on what to do with the supporters of Alan Kyeremanten who have defied the laws of the party and went ahead to organize a health walk in support of the Trade and Industry minister’s ambition to become a flagbearer of the party.
Meanwhile, Mr Hopeson Adorye who is also a member of the NPP was captured making some unsavoury comments during the said march. Some members of the party are calling for the sanctioning of recalcitrant supporters.
Sources indicate that the much-anticipated meeting by the leadership of the party will be held this week on how to deal with the situation.
In a clear defiance of party rules, the went on a health walk dubbed “Aduru woso” which means, it’s your turn, that saw participants clad in branded party T-shirts that had pictures of the Trades and Industry Minister embossed on it.
According to Mr Adorye who participated in the said march, he revealed that the directive came at a time when preparation for the event was far advanced.
Interestingly, he rather called for sanctions to be meted out to supporters of other candidates rather.
