John Agbavor joins Dome-Kwabenya NDC Constituency chairmanship race

A former Parliamentary candidate aspirant of the National Democratic Congress in the Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, John Kwaku Agbavor has announced his intention to contest for the party’s Constituency Chairman position in the upcoming constituency elections.

Mr Agbavor was among three other contestants who lost the 2020 NDC primaries to Mrs Faustina Elikplim Akurugu and as someone with the party at heart, he said he had given his campaign strategies to the NDC candidate to help her win the seat from Sarah Adwoa Safo of the NPP. Madam Elikplim, however, lost to the then Deputy Majority leader.

Having been a pillar to the constituency and a great benefactor to the various Wards in the area, Mr Agbavor said the calls of the people for him to avail himself for the position is what prompted him to attend to the people’s needs.

He pledged to ensure peace and unity among members in the constituency as they position themselves to race for the seat currently held by Adwoa Safo. He also promised an insult-free politics while pledging to use his long-term experience with the Electoral Commission to help the party put up a robust coalition system to ensure they win the elections in 2024.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM COMRADE JOHN KWAKU AGBAVOR TO NDC DOME KWABENYA CONSTITUENCY.

My dear fellow Comrades in NDC Dome/Kwabenya Constituency, my name is JOHN KWAKU AGBAVOR, This afternoon I humbly announce my candidacy for Constituency CHAIRMAN for NDC Dome/Kwabenya.

To the hard-working Branch Executives across the Constituency, Congratulations once again on your elections. Having received a number of calls from you the good people of Dome Kwabenya urging me to Contest as the Constituency Chairman, I have done some few consultations and I am glad to officially announce to you that together with you, I am ever ready to Contest to rescue our Constituency from the wicked hands of the NPP.

Permit me to highlight some few things that I have done as a Member of the NDC in Dome Kwabenya Constituency:

I was one of the biggest contributor of the first Award ceremony by the CEC in the Constituency.
I believed in the good welfare of our People hence three years ago. I gave an average of one thousand Ghanaian Cedi’s each to 17 Wards in our Constituency as seed money to enable them start a well regulated Welfare Association to take care of some of our needs at the Ward base.
After I lost my Parliamentary bid, I humbly put the Party first and quickly congratulated and approached the Elected Parliamentary candidate and presented to her John Kwaku Agbavor’s Strategies on hard copy concerning the 2020 elections. Permit me to say that most of the strategies were implemented in the 2020 elections. These and many others are the things that, I have done for our lovely Dome Kwabenya Constituency.

With your prayers and votes, if elected as the Constituency Chairman among other things, I will do the following:

I will make sure we have the needed Unity and Peace to help us win the election 2024. By so doing, I together with the next CEC will put in place serious measures to stop politics of lies and insults especially during the PC race. I will encourage the next CEC to stay neutral and allow our hard-working Branch Executives to make their choice of who becomes our Parliamentary Candidate.
Even though I am yet to become the Constituency Chairman, my Welfare Idea is been implemented and I am glad Dome West Ward which is my ward was the first after several struggles, this then opens the gate for Agbogba Ward and now many other wards have plans in place to implement theirs. When elected as the Constituency Chairman, I will assist all the remaining Wards to Launch their welfare and run it to the benefit of our people.
I will also implement a program I call “Job for the Comrades”.
As someone who have worked with the Electoral Commission for 16 years , together with the next CEC, we shall put in place a robust Collation system and other measures to enable us win the 2024 Elections both Parliamentary and Presidential in Dome Kwabenya Constituency .

These and many are the things together with the next CEC and you the hardworking branch Executives we shall implement to win the 2024 Elections.
