I have never chosen Alan Kyeremanteng over Bawumia – Yaw Osafo-Maafo
A report alluding to the fact that Hon Nana Yaw Osafo Marfo has endorsed Trade and Industry Minister Allan Kyeremanteng over Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the New Patriotic Party flagbearer is race making rounds on social media but that has outrightly been debunked by the current Senior Presidential Advisor.
The presidential advisor deemed the report as “irresponsible, misguided, tribalistic and ethnocentric”
According to a statement issued on Friday, October 15, “The Office of the Senior Presidential Advisor registers its dismay and disappointment to a social media circulation purported to indicate Hon Osafo-Maafo’s support for Hon Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Minister of Trade and Industry, as against that of H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana in the perceived presidential flagbearership race of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“With reference to the said circulation, we emphasise that Hon. Yaw Osafo-Maafo has never uttered such ‘irresponsible, misguided, tribalistic and ethnocentric’ statement either in public or private directly or indirectly and has no cause to do so.
Meanwhile “The senior Presidential advisor is currently on a trip to Dubai at the invitation of the Global Business Forum Africa 2021 during which he also launched Ghana’s participation in EXPO 2020 Dubai.”
