Dome Kwabenya NPP chairman expresses shock at Adwoa Safo’s new energy
Following Sarah Adwoa Safo’s response to President Akufo-Addo’s letter relieving her off her position as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and her expression of resolve to help the party ‘break the 8’, the Dome Kwabenya constituency Chairman of the NPP has expressed his doubts about the renewed energy of the former minister.
Mr Robert Osei Bonsu clearly is unconvinced about her intentions and zeal to serve her constituents in Dome Kwabenya for a very long absence from the country which has cost her the minister role in Akufo-Addo’s government.
Quizzed on how he sees the lawmaker’s new zeal to serve her people during an interview on TV3, the not-so-convinced constituency chairman revealed that for over a year he has not had the chance to communicate with the lawmaker and wondered where she wrote her acceptance of the dismissal letter from.
Mr Osei Bonsu admitted that she was very hard working during her first two terms serving as their lawmaker noting that it was a fantastic one. However, he expressed worry as to if she has been able to handle her family issues back in the United States and has returned fully revived to work assiduously as the good legislator she is known for or she is just coming to be an absentee Member of Parliament.
He added that it could be too late for her considering the task ahead at convincing the constituency and the nation that she is back and revived and ready to be committed to her duties as a lawmaker.
