Broadcaster, Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known as KKD has lambasted some of the Nana Addo-led government appointees including the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta and parliament over stealing from the country heartlessly.

He believes the actions of these appointees will give their children the space to in future say “wo papa ambɔ bra enti na wo br3…daabi ɔmo papa enwia sika!” to wit, your parents couldn’t make it in life, No, their parents didn’t steal!.

According to KDD, the finance minister’s company Data Bank which is the Transaction Advisor to government on loans entered into by Ghana is a typical case of stealing from the poor in society. He added that he is perplexed on the motive of the country going for loans.

“So the person’s motive for even going for a loan, for me now is not clear because every time we take a loan their company makes money, does this makes sense to us as people,” he fumed.

KKD further stated that it is unacceptable for these politicians to set up companies and use same companies to secure contracts from themselves as government officials and at the same time as business men/women. He blamed Parliament for turning themselves to rubber stamps.

“Parliament you must be ashamed of yourself, you have failed the people of Ghana,” he said. KKD stressed that he is unable to appreciate the fact that people are aware of these things in the country and no anti-corruption institution is acting, including parliament.

“How much will you spend on feeding ? You are doing this for your children? In future your children will look down on the poor man’s children and say, wo papa ambɔ bra enti na wo br3…daabi ɔmo papa enwia sika!” to wit your parents couldn’t make it in life, No, their parents didn’t steal!.

“You only die once and weather someone kills you or not, you will surely die, so I will speak about it” he concluded.
