UWR: Regional minister inspects ongoing projects at Sissala East and West
The Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin-Salih on yesterday, 10th August, embarked on a working visit to the Sissala East Municipal and Sissala West District to inspect ongoing works on selected road project sites.
His first stop was at Kasana in Sissala East and later at Jeffisi in Sissala West where the military is constructing huge box culverts and drilling boreholes respectively. He also inspected ongoing work on the construction of the Reinforced Box Culvert on the Boti – Kandia Feeder Road undertaken by Globex Supplies & Logistics Enterprise Ltd. The project was awarded on 20th August 2020 and expected to be completed soon.
Dr Hafiz Bin-Salih also paid separate courtesy calls on the Kandia Kuoro and Jeffisi Kuoro. He was accompanied by the Deputy Regional Police Commander, the Commander of the 10 Mechanized Battalion, Regional Directors of Ghana Highway Authority, and the Department of Feeder Roads, officials from the Regional Coordinating Council and Sissala West Constituency Executives of the NPP, led by Chairman Shaibu.
The regional minister reassured the people of Upper West of his commitment to the development of the Region. He was satisfied with work done so far by the contractors. However, he called on some of the contractors to increase their time at the sites and speed up the process of work to meet timely completion of the projects.
