There is no food shortage in Senior High Schools – MoE denies reports
The Ministry of Education has refuted the claims of food shortage in some Senior High Schools is being spread in the media.
In a response contained in a statement endorsed by the spokesperson of the Ministry, Mr Kwasi Kwarteng clarified that the claims are false.
Reports went rife earlier in suggesting that some heads of schools are threatening the imminent closure of the schools following acute shortage of some food items.
But the Ministry is insisting that their findings point out that there is no cause for alarm as there are enough foods in these schools.
An assurance has also been made by the Ministry to address the instances of food shortage that sometimes hit Senior High Schools.
Mr Kwasi Kwarteng further debunked such claims during a separate interview to clarify the situation.
He insisted that the buffer stock company has distributed adequate supply to the various schools and that such claims should be treated with the contempt they deserve.
