Queen Elizabeth was someone who embraced change – Bawumia eulogized the late monarch
Ghana’s Vice-President His Excellency Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has today Friday 16th September joined other dignitaries and the congregation of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church for a commemorative service for the late Queen Elizabeth II in Accra.
Addressing the congregation, Dr Bawumia said that he draws one character from the Queen during her lifetime, which is embracing change as a part of life.
“I underscored that Her Majesty demonstrated that one of the marks of leadership is to accept change and make the best of it. HM Elizabeth II embraced change as part of life and made good use of it when necessary,” Bawumia said.
On Thursday, 8th September Britain’s longest reigning monarch, Elizabeth II, died at her Scottish residence in Balmoral. She will be buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, where she will rest with her husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.
The Vice President eulogized the Queen for her selfless public service.
“Today, we do not only celebrate the life of an individual, but we are also celebrating the quintessence of selfless public service and leadership in the modern era. May her soul continue to Rest In Peace,” Bawumia concluded.
