Portions of N1 and N2 highways to be closed to traffic on Saturday
On Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 10 am. to 2:00 pm, the Ghana Highway Authority will shut down some sections of the N1 and N2 highways.
The disruption is to allow GRIDCo to begin work on a second double circuit line that traverses the N1 and N2 Highways at the stated areas, according to a statement from the Ghana Highway Authority’s Ag Chief Executive, Ing. Christian Nti.
Areas to be impacted are N1: Tema – Aflao Highway, before the traffic light at T.T. Brothers Junction and N2: Tema – Akosombo Highway, near the newly constructed overhead walkway.
Mr Christian Nti has encouraged vehicles to heed traffic diversion signs that would be erected along the N1 and N2 at various points.
